Sencha
At Sakihara Seicha, we take the time to carefully pluck and prepare high quality tea leaves using our own unique manufacturing process.
Each tea is unique and only Sakihara Seicha can produce.
Sakihara Seicha's representative brand "Sendai Homare" is available in six varieties according to grade. We also have matured teas.
Even within the same Sencha, there are differences in aroma and sweetness depending on the production method and blend.
We offer tea leaves, tea bags, tea bags for cold-brew, and powdered tea.
Gyokuro
Gyokuro is considered one of the finest types of Japanese tea. It is characterized by a rich sweetness and deep umami flavor.
About 20 days before harvesting, the tea fields for Gyokuro are covered with black nets to block direct sunlight. This cultivation method enhances the levels of theanine and other amino acids, which contribute to its sweetness and umami, while reducing the bitterness-causing catechins. As a result, the tea has a concentrated flavor, rich aroma, and a vibrant, fresh fragrance.
The product is available in tea leaves and teabags.
Hojicha
Hojicha has a rich, fragrant aroma and a light, refreshing taste from roasting the leaf stems of the tea plant.
Sakihara Seicha uses only the first tea stems and carefully roasts them, resulting in a high-quality Hojicha. The rich aroma of roas
ted tea stems, full-bodied sweetness and flavor, and refreshing taste make it an excellent match for oily food.
The product is available in tea leaves, tea bags, tea bags for cold-brew, and powder.
Genmaicha
Sakihara Tea's Genmaicha is crafted using the highest quality mochi rice. The combination of the toasty aroma of brown rice and the richness of Sencha results in a nostalgic and exceptional product, reminiscent of old times.
Pouring hot water releases the roasted, sweet fragrance of the mochi rice, instantly soothing the mind. It offers a clean taste with minimal bitterness and astringency.
Normal Genmaicha and Genmaicha with Matcha (powdered green tea) are available.
Genmaicha is available in tea leaves, tea bags, tea bags for cold-brew, and powder.
Oolong Tea
Sakihara Oolong Tea is a Japanese Oolong Tea with a mellow aroma reminiscent of flowers and a beautiful amber water color.
Its full flavor and slight bitterness make it a refreshing gem.
It is also an excellent match with meals! The refreshing taste goes well with Chinese as well as Western food.
"Oolong Tea Green" has a refreshing flavor reminiscent of Green Tea and a rich, flowery aroma and taste unique to Oolong Tea, with full-bodied flavor and a rich, delicious taste.
"Oolong Tea Red" has a full-bodied flavor, with little astringency and a slight bitterness that is refreshing and pleasant.
The product lineup includes tea leaves and tea bags.
Black Tea
Sakihara Seicha is also engaged in the production of delicious Japanese black tea using its own tea leaves.
Tea leaves grown with care on our own farms are carefully fermented to produce a high quality, aromatic black tea.
Compared to foreign black tea, it has less astringency and bitterness, and its natural sweetness and flavor spreads softly in the mouth.
There are three types of normal black tea, spring and summer together.
The product lineup consists of tea leaves, tea bags, tea bags for cold-brew, and tea powder.
Pu-erh Tea
Sakihara Seicha's Pu-erh Tea is crafted using high-quality tea leaves, finished with Kagoshima's traditional fermentation techniques using Koji.
There are three types of Pu-erh tea: "Black Pu-erh tea" made with Kagoshima's "Black Koji" for Shochu, "White Pu-erh Tea" with "White Koji", and "Golden Pu-erh Tea" with "Yellow Koji". Please enjoy authentice Kagoshima Pu-erh Tea with each Koji.
